About Me
I live in York, England.
I'm a conservative in a traditional Churchillian sense, I believe in small government, the smaller the better.
Individuals should be as free as possible to pursue whatever they want to do within the boundaries of the law, and that legal boundaries should only be set when there is a danger of actions interfering with the rights of others.
On this blog I hope to provide articles in the way of commentary on issues along with writing of a more definative nature.
I'm not standing in any elections at present and have no short term plans to do so. The blog title comes from a time past when I did stand in some elections (nothing important), of course I didn't win.
The importance was that after spending the best part of three years of trying and getting nowhere it was all about to end, and I was speaking to someone I knew more by sight than a friend; I said, that it had all been pointless, three years of blasting socialist statist types and nothing to show for it. They replied that it was not so, that although I'd never won any election, the simple fact that I was fighting my corner had put them all on notice, and they didn't dare take the liberties they had assumed before. At first I thought they were simply being nice, but then I reflected and realised they had a point.
So after years of absence I started this blog, it may not change anything, and it may have no readers, but I'm putting all you statist socialist apparatchik types on notice. You have appropriated our freedoms and rights and no have no authority to behave as you do, nor take from us what you take and good, bad or indifferent I'll be fighting my corner.
You do your worst (if you've got the guts for it); and I shall do my best.
